Digital Ubiquity Capital

Our Work

Selected engagements.

Representative transactions across capital formation, restructuring, and public-private partnerships in digital infrastructure.

Public-Private Partnership

Municipal Fiber Network

Mid-sized US Municipality

Context

A mid-sized municipality sought to bridge the digital divide by deploying a city-wide fiber network, but lacked the internal expertise to structure the project and attract private capital.

Challenge

The city needed to design an investment structure that balanced public benefit with investor returns, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and establish a governance framework acceptable to both public officials and private partners.

Approach

We led a comprehensive structuring engagement including financial modeling, stakeholder alignment sessions, and the design of a special purpose vehicle with clear governance and capital deployment mechanisms.

Outcome

The project attracted $45M in private investment alongside public funding. Construction is now 75% complete, with the network on track to serve 35,000 residents with gigabit internet access.

Capital Formation

Edge Data Center Network

Atlantic Canada

Context

Regional government and private investors sought to develop a network of edge data centers to support growing AI workloads and improve digital infrastructure resilience.

Challenge

The project required coordination between multiple government agencies, private investors, and technology partners, with complex regulatory and environmental considerations across jurisdictions.

Approach

We designed the project structure, facilitated stakeholder alignment across public and private parties, and developed the investment thesis with clear milestones and capital deployment schedule.

Outcome

Project feasibility confirmed with $62M commitment secured from institutional investors. Currently in design phase with construction anticipated to begin within twelve months.

Restructuring

Infrastructure Portfolio Optimization

European Infrastructure Fund

Context

A European infrastructure fund needed to restructure its portfolio of renewable energy and connectivity assets to meet evolving investor mandates and regulatory requirements.

Challenge

The fund required a comprehensive review of asset performance, restructuring of holding vehicles, and strategic positioning for partial exits while maintaining operational continuity across multiple jurisdictions.

Approach

Our team conducted detailed financial analysis of each asset, developed restructuring scenarios, and facilitated negotiations with potential acquirers while ensuring compliance with fund documentation.

Outcome

Successfully executed partial exit of three assets at favorable valuations, restructured remaining portfolio into a more efficient vehicle structure, and positioned the fund for its next phase of growth.
